Firefighters from United, Newmansville and the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Departments assisted the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry in fighting a large wind driven field and woods fire Wednesday evening.
The out of control fire was in the Downey Road area off the Kingsport Highway.
