A residence at 263 Bailey Lane was destroyed by fire Thursday evening.
A Greene County Sheriff’s Department report issued this morning indicates no one was at the home when the fire was reported by a neighbor shortly before 8 pm. The fire at the home off the Old Baileyton Road was fully involved when firefighters from the United, Newmansville and Tusculum Volunteer Fire Departments arrived..
They were able to later make contact with home owner Kenneth Johnson at his father’s home on Houston Valley Road where he had recently been staying.
A Greene County Fire Investigator also responded to the scene.
