Demoted Baileyton Police Chief Joshua Ferguson appeared before the Baileyton Board of Mayor and Aldermen last night to appeal his demotion, but no further action was taken by the board.
Ferguson was demoted by Mayor Jamie Tilson last month.
After a nearly two hour meeting at a crowded Baileyton Town Hall, the meeting was adjorned without further action by the Mayor or the board pertaining to the demotion.
Ferguson remains an officer with the Department.
