Greeneville Police tell Radio Greeneville News a 25 year old Greeneville woman died as a result of a motor vehicle accident Wednesday night involving the motorcycle she was operating and another vehicle. The crash occurred around 9:20 pm on East Andrew Johnson Highway at Harlan Street.
The fatal victim is identified as Kaitlyn M. Malone. According to the Police report, Malone was operating a 2023 Kawasaki EX 4 which collided with a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 66 year old Debra Hamill of Greeneville. Malone, who police say was wearing a motorcycle helmet, died at the scene. Hamill sustained minor injuries.
Police say the accident investigation is continuing at this time as they review camera footage of the crash. A diagram of the accident shows the motorcycle was traveling on the four lane when the two vehicles collided at the Harlan Street intersection.
