It’s just under a month until FEMA-approved debris removal from the flood affected areas along Nolichucky River will end.
The removal will end on April 2nd.
Until then, here are the steps for getting the debris moved by FEMA:
- Separate all piles best you can with burnable debris such as vegetation and wood
- appliances
- construction debris such as shingles, metal, siding, etc.
The piles need to be placed in your 10-foot county right of way near the road.
Once this is done, you may call 423-620-8482 to let crews know debris is ready for pickup.
Normal household waste may be taken directly to the Greene County Convenience Center during their regular operating hours.
