The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports one person lost his life in a two vehicle crash just before 12:45 Wednesday afternoon on the Rogersville Road at the Mt. Carmel Road intersection.
The victim is identified as 33 year old Jesse L. Stanton.
According to the THP report, the 1995 Honda Civic driven by Stanton collided with a 2018 Ram 2500 operated by 42 year old Julian A. Estrada of South Carolina.
The report says the Stanton vehicle, south bound and traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with the Estrada truck as it was turning into Love’s Travel Center.
Estrada, who was not injured, was wearing a seat belt. Stanton, the report says, was not.
