Fannie Crosby Dean, age 84, of the Romeo Community, passed away at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday at her home.
She retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center and was a member of Lick Creek Valley House of Prayer.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Cleveland; one son, Danny Dean; five grandchildren, Shawn Dunbar, Jamie, Bronson, Caitlin and Courtney, and their families; best friend and caregiver, Vickie Sharp; and two sisters, Faye Southerland and Mary Shelton.
Fannie was preceded in death by her first husband of over 50 years, Teddy Dean; her second husband, John Vest; and her parents, Earl and Eliza Crosby.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Ragon officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 1 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to Carter’s Chapel Cemetery for the 2 p.m. committal service. Pallbearers will be Shawn Dunbar, Edwin Sharp and friends.
