Several members of the Terry Rednour family had been invited to the Greeneville City Council meeting on Tuesday, where the former Auxiliary Police Chief was remembered. He passed away in February, having served with the Police Department for 21 years.
A plaque was presented by HR Director Patsy Fuller on behalf of the town to his wife Betty, and Police Chief Steve Spano read a proclamation in honor of his time with the department.
In brief comments while surrounded by a large gathering of family and friends, Betty Rednour said “I just want to thank everybody for all the support that they have ever given Terry and thank you to the Police Officer family. I always wondered why Terry wanted to do it so much and now I know because you all were there for him always and I really appreciate all of you , and the City for everything they do to support the officers.”
Numerous members of his Police family were also in attendance in uniform for the presentation.
