The 76th Annual Greene County Fair came to a close on Saturday, capping off a successful week of fun, food, farming, entertainment, and community.
Greene County Fair Board President Rick Clark said that the 76th edition of the fair had been a complete success. He noted that the community’s support for the fair, both through participation in organizing the fair and through attending the fair, fortunately remains strong.

The fair drew 30,731 people to the Greene County Fairgrounds throughout the course of the week according to Clark, with 7,691 people attending on Saturday alone. The Saturday attendance number is the highest for the fair on a single Saturday in the past few years, despite rain chances persisting throughout the week.

Clark credited musical performances headlined by well-known Greene County natives on different nights with drawing in more fairgoers.

Clark said that while fair board members and other volunteers were going to take a couple days to catch their breath, they were already getting ready for the next edition of the fair. He noted that the board will meet in the coming days to discuss what they think went well and what could be improved for next year’s fair. Organizing the fair, Greene County’s biggest event, is a yearlong effort for Clark and members of the fair board.
During one of the board’s most recent meetings the dates for 2027’s fair were set, Clark was happy to announce.
The 77th Greene County Fair will be held July 19-24, 2027. Plan accordingly.
