The South Greene Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting their annual “door-to-door” fund drive beginning Monday, July 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM and continuing each night throughout the week. This fund drive is their primary source of revenue. The community has always been very supportive of the department, and the members are proud to volunteer their time serving their neighbors. Firefighters will be going to each residence in our response area soliciting donations for the department. Firefighters will have identification and brochures with information about our department. Donations can also be dropped off at the station at 7650 Asheville Highway or mailed to our treasurer: C/O Teddy Reaves, 680 River Rd, Greeneville, TN, 37743.
The South Greene Volunteer Fire Department is also currently celebrating 54 years of service to the South Greene community. The fire station houses 2 fire engines, 2 tankers, and a brush truck. They also provide, at no charge, a bay and living quarters for a Greene County EMS ambulance and crew. They are also looking for volunteers willing to serve our community.
