The churches in the McDonald Community area will be hosting a Red, White, Blue, and Back to School event celebrating 250 years of faith and freedom on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event will be hosted at Fairview Baptist Church on McDonald Road. There will be lots of food, games, a cake walk, historical character reenactments and demonstrations, a photo booth, cornhole tournament, and more. The night will end with a community prayer and fireworks. Everyone is welcome. In the event of rain, the event will be held on August 8, 2026, instead.
