The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will be in Greeneville on February 5, 2025, at the Food City located at 509 Ashville Highway and February 24, 2025, at the Food City located at 2755 East Andrew Johnson Highway from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM both days. Those who qualify for assistance can receive a payment that is sent directly to the utility company and is credited to their bills. LIHEAP prioritizes assisting the low-income, energy burdened, disabled, elderly, homes with young children under six, veterans, and large households. The sign up opportunities for the benefit ends September 30, 2025.
