The Greene County School Board of Education will meet this afternoon at 4:30 PM and will consider approving and updating content on several policies (First and Second Reading).
The board will hear updates from departments at the school and approve procedures like updating the Credit Recovery, Field Trips, Student Placement and Fine Procedures. There will be presentations and celebrations, including recognition of Gavin Dyer for the perfect EOC Score. The board will also discuss approving bids.
There will be a joint board meeting between County Schools and the Greeneville City Board of Education beginning at 6 PM this evening. The joint board agenda includes consideration to approve bids at the Greene Technology Center. Collaborative Composite Solutions Corporation (CCS) wants to partner with five educational institutes across Tennessee. GTC was selected as a potential partner. CCS plans to purchase and place a 5-Axis CNC Milling machine.
Furthermore, then the City School Board will meet for their monthly meeting at around 7:15 PM. Up for discussion is the approval of Avigilon surveillance cameras to protect property and human resources. The upgrades and additions were recommended for the schools. The City School Board will additionally consider approving grants, equipment for the renovation project and roof replacement at Highland Elementary School.
Each meeting will be held at the Greene Technology Center located on Hal Henard Road beginning this afternoon with the County School Board at 4:30 PM.
