The Greeneville Historic Zoning Commission is seeking applications from those who are interested in serving as a member.
The deadline to apply is Friday, February 24, 2023.Applicants should reside in the Town of Greeneville for no less than three years prior to appointment. Appointed members shall serve five-year terms. Applications are available at Greeneville Town Hall or at the Town’s website at greenevilletn.gov under: ‘How to Apply’, then clicking on ‘Serve on Board/Commissions.’
The Historic Zoning Commission meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month to consider plans for exterior alterations to structures located within Greeneville’s Historic District. The Commission reviews and considers applications for Certificates of Appropriateness from property-owners who are planning any alterations.
For properties within the Historic District, a Certificate of Appropriateness must be obtained before the building permit is granted. For more information, visit or call Town Hall at 639-7105.
