An Erwin Highway woman was blackmailed by someone on Facebook Wednesday after they threatened to post pictures of her account.
The woman said Wednesday night she received a message on the Social Media page from someone with an email address of [email protected]. The person stated they had pictures from the victim’s account and if they didn’t want the pictures posted online for everyone to see, they would need to send money.
The victim ended up sending $200 through Pay Pal. According to the report, a short time later the person requested more funds. The victim told the suspect she was not able to provide any more money. No further information was provided in the report.
