Greeneville City Schools had a board retreat yesterday evening where the school board, staff, and City Council members met and spoke on enrollment trends and capital and maintenance updates, including projects that have been completed and are still in the process.
The retreat also focused on board goals like more security, providing excellence and equity in instruction and programs/community programs, the continuation of working with employees on pay, giving recognition, ESL (English Second Language) Certifications, and providing state of the art learning environments.
Data was provided on growth in Greeneville, the history of Greeneville City Schools and the age of buildings, the housing development, and energy savings were discussed.
