Embezzlement was reported at a Greeneville restaurant this week.
The owner of Casa Express on Tusculum Boulevard reported to the Greeneville Police Department on Monday that an employee has been voiding tickets and taking some of the money when closing out orders. The incidents have reportedly been ongoing for around six months. The exact amount taken was unknown at the time of the report, but the owner thought it was around $4,000.
No charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing. The employee was named in the report.
