For the first time in memory since the new Ingles store opened on East Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville ten years ago , one of the adjoining stores attached to that building will be utilized.
Eggs Up Grill plans to locate in the largest of the four available spots in the center.
EGGS UP GRILL
Eggs Up Grill promotes itself as the fastest-growing and largest daytime restaurant franchise in the country. Just last week, Tennessee and North Carolina franchisee Ken Bates was recognized by the International Franchise Association (IFA) as a Franchisee of the Year.

Founded in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Eggs Up Grill is a daytime restaurant franchise brand serving breakfast, brunch and lunch for more than 25 years. As “home to the whole neighborhood,” the brand operates more than 110 locations nationwide, with more than 90 additional units in development or committed to open, including in Greeneville. A date for the local opening has yet to be announced.
Eggs Up Grill has other area locations in Johnson City , Kingsport and Morristown.
CENTRAL PARK
It has long been rumored that Central Park would be opening again in the same location it was in several years ago, on East Andrew Johnson Highway next to Greeneville Fire Hall #3. As Radio Greeneville News was following the flag raising ceremonies Friday morning, Ron Metcalfe took a picture of the “coming soon” sign out front. A date of when exactly “coming soon” will be, is unknown.

Trivia question – What was the first business to occupy that spot.
Answer – We will tell you Saturday on “The Week That Was”
WINGSTOP

The Wingstop, under construction in the center of the picture below on East Andrew Johnson Highway near the Tusculum exit, was approved last year, but construction was delayed.

The company bio says what began as a small buffalo-style chicken wing restaurant in Garland, Texas now has more than 2,500 restaurants open across the globe. Wingstop first opened the doors in 1994 and in 1997 began offering franchises. The store has other current area locations in Johnson City, Kingsport, Elizabethton and Morristown.
