Two days of early voting are remaining for next Tuesday’s election.
The Greene County Election Commission reported that there were 1,541 early votes on Tuesday, pushing the total number of early and absentee votes to 16,994. Of that total, just over 16,000 have voted in person.
Early in-person voting is already up 24 percent from the entire 2020 early voting period, with two days remaining, while the total number of early votes is up nearly 12 percent from four years ago. So far, almost 40 percent of the registered voters in Greene County have already cast their ballots, compared to about 31 percent in 2020.
The Election Commission will be open today from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM and again on Thursday from 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
