Today is the final Saturday of early voting for the November 5 election, with totals continuing to run well ahead of four years ago.
Through Friday, there had been 12,180 in-person early votes and 824 absentee votes received at the Greene County Election Commission, for a total of 13,004 early votes. That total is running 30 percent ahead of the early vote total from 2020 and 51 percent ahead of the in-person early vote from four years ago.
The early in-person vote could reach the total from 2020 during today’s voting, when 12,948 residents voted in person. About 30 percent of the registered voters have already cast their ballots for the November 5 election.
Early voting is open today from 8:30 AM until 2 PM, and will resume next week Monday through Thursday at the Election Commission office on CCU Boulevard.
