Director of the Greeneville/Greene County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Heather Sipe suggests departments/agencies/offices should refer any calls regarding low or no water to her office.
Sipe said any calls from those with wells or the agricultural community that need water due to low pond water should reach out to her office. If there is a need for other water sources to hydrate livestock or any other drought-related issues, please notify EMA at (423) 798-1729.
When calling the EMA Office, be sure to provide the most recent contact information from the caller including the name, address, and phone number. EMA will continue to monitor the drought situation. If necessary, a Drought Task Force will be established to assess and care for needs within the community.
