Construction of the new CTE buildings at both Chuckey Doak and West Greene remain on schedule for a late 2025 completion.
That was the word from Interim Director of Schools Dr. Chris Malone to members of the Education Committee Monday afternoon.
Malone says footers at Chuckey Doak should be poured next week. The slab has been poured and block walls are going up at West Greene.
At the most recent Board of Education meeting, Jerry Cline, the Project Manager with Path Construction and General Contractor for the Career and Technical Education facilities, said plans are to have the West Greene project substantial completion by the first week in November with punch list items finalized by Thanksgiving. Chuckey Doak is scheduled to be finished by the second week of December with a punch list finished by the end of the calendar year
When finished, the 22,862 square feet West Greene addition will house a new laboratory and classroom space to be utilized for Career and Technical Education programs.
At Chuckey Doak, a 27,514 square feet facility will also house the new laboratory and classroom space for the CTE program at that location.
