Local Republican and Democratic primaries were held Tuesday for Greene County Commission seats, and the Republican primary decided some elections as Democratic candidates did not file to run in several districts.
The County Commission will see some new and familiar faces according to Tuesday’s unofficial results, but some primary winners will still face challengers in the August General Election from candidates from the opposite party and independent candidates.
The top three finishers in the Republican Primary in each commission district moved on to the August General Election. There were no contested commission races in the Democratic Primary.
All election results reported Tuesday night are unofficial until certified by the Greene County Election Commission.
