A cold front will sweep through the area today with a freeze watch in effect from 3 AM to 9 AM Saturday morning.
Gusty winds are expected ahead of the front especially across the mountains and adjacent foothills. Expect subfreezing temperatures as low as 27 with southwesterly winds of 15 to 30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph across the mountains. Behind the front, unseasonably cold temperatures return with a hard freeze expected Saturday and Sunday nights. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
