Volunteers gathered Saturday to continue clean up efforts from Hurricane Helene in and along the the Nolichucky River in Greene County.
It’s the second time Keep Greene Beautiful and Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful had hosted such an event.
The group cleaned up more than four-thousand pounds of trash at its first event in December.
Around twenty people met Saturday morning at a farm with easy river access.

Keep Greene Beautiful reports over 30 tires and even an entire trailer full of debris and litter were among items recovered this past weekend.
