The first school board meeting held at the newly named Greeneville Career and Technical Academy was Tuesday.
The Greeneville City School system took over total control of the facility following the city/county swap last year.
Typically Joint Board of Education meetings were held at the site, with both City and County school boards meeting at the same location , either before or following the Joint meeting.
With CTE programs now underway in the county, city students make up the majority of students attending day classes there.
GCTA Principal Dr. Joshua Davis addressed the school board during their meeting, updating them on the classes and progress made since last summer.
Following the meeting, Radio Greeneville News followed board members and others as they toured the building.
