Both Greeneville City and Greene County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
County Director of Schools Dr. Chris Malone said that due to the expected freezing temperatures and possibility of icy roads, both the system and ESP will be closed.
Malone said that a decision for classes on Tuesday will be announced by 4:00 PM tomorrow.
While the rain is expected to taper off overnight, it could change over to snow flurries. No accumulation is expected, but wet roads could freeze as temperatures will drop to the mid teens by 8AM.
