A Chuckey resident on the 5200 block of Old Stage Road reported she got home and found her dog dead with a half eaten bar of rat poison a few feet away.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s report, the victim spoke with deputies on Wednesday and said the husky was perfectly healthy that morning. The victim also stated people from someone’s house, who was named in the report, have threatened to kill the dog on multiple occasions.
A half eaten bar was found by the victim a few feet away from the animal and they believe it to be rat poison. The Sheriff’s Office advised the victim to follow up with Animal Control. No suspects could be confirmed at the time of the report.
