A Chuckey man arrested for public intoxication Saturday morning was discovered to have outstanding warrants.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded around 8:30 AM to the 1200 block of Pitt Loop on the report of an unwanted person. Mark Tolley, who has an address close to the property, was found in only his boxer shorts covered in cuts and scrapes.
Tolley was reportedly talking incoherently and made statements that six officers were already there and several people were in the residence. The home was checked and the only people on the property were a crew to clean up.
Tolley then said he saw a hand hanging from a tree and did not know that sheriff’s deputies could fly from trees.
Tolley was found to have active warrants in Greene County for driving on a suspended license 1st offense and leaving the scene of an accident. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center and a warrant was taken out for public intoxication.
