Long awaited Ribbon Cutting ceremonies were held Monday at Chuckey Doak High School for the new Career and Technical Education addition.

That was current Director of Schools Dr. Chris Malone. Following construction delays , the new CTE building opened to students after spring break. CTE is designed to enhance career and technical education for its students, including Cara Hargrove.

The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with specialized spaces for Welding, Cosmetology, HVAC, Automotive, Industrial Maintenance, and Nursing programs. The new building aims to provide hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for various skilled trades and healthcare careers, reflecting the growing demand for workforce readiness in these fields.

PLAQUE HONORS THOSE WHO HELPED MAKE IT POSSIBLE
A bronze plaque with the names of those who helped make the CTE addition is now on display in a hallway connecting the new construction and the 23 year old Chuckey Doak High School.
