It was in June of 2024 that construction began on CTE additions at both West Greene and Chuckey Doak. The proposed 13-month long construction projects have both been hit with delays for various reasons, but as of this week, students are now in their classrooms at both locations.
Architect Dave Wright, who along with Chris Adams, updated Greene County School Board members Thursday night on the projects.

Students at West Greene have been in their new building since January, with Chuckey Doak CTE students officially moving in this week.
While classes are underway, both facilities still have several punch list items that either have been or soon will be addressed.
That includes roof leaks at both locations, which Jerry Kline and Brandon Ketron of Path Construction later in the meeting attributed to sealing around HVAC units on both buildings, which has since been corrected.
A flooring issue at West Greene is still being evaluated and efforts to correct the matter before considering total replacement are ongoing.
