A heat lamp may have been the cause of a fire where a chicken coop was burned on the 3000 block of Jearoldstown Road.
The homeowner reported the fire Thursday afternoon and said she looked out her kitchen window and saw her chicken coop was on fire. According to the report, the victim and Fire Department beleive a heat lamp may have caused the fire.
It was unknown if any chickens died from the fire on Thursday afternoon. The chicken coop was determined a total loss and was valued at $8,000.
