Charges are pending for a driver involved in an accident Wednesday on Interstate 81, near mile marker 26 in Greene County.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred after 5:30 PM. 23 year-old Eliel Obed Hernandez-Perez from Lafayette, TN was traveling south on I-81 and ran off the right side of the roadway and entered a clockwise rotation. The vehicle reportedly collided with several standing trees, rolled over, came to an uncontrolled final rest facing north on it’s top.
The report states Perez was injured during the accident and charges are pending. No further details were provided.
