Several charges including narcotic violations and unlawful weapon charges resulted from a traffic stop Friday evening.
Greeneville police noticed a white car on Snapps Ferry Road with a brake light out. Police stopped the vehicle near East Andrew Johnson Highway around 8:00 PM and spoke with the driver, Tristan Borden of Red Hill Road, and a passenger, Emily Howk of Fry Street.
A Greene County Deputy and K9 Deputy were requested and the K9 gave an alert on the car which was then searched. Found were 2.7 ounces of a white crystal-like substance suspected to be meth, a glass pipe, a metal pipe, a revolver beneath the driver’s seat, and a large amount of cash.
Both Borden and Howk were placed under arrest and transported to the Greene County Jail without incident. Both were charged with felony manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Borden was additionally charged with lights required on a motor vehicle, possessing a firearm during a felony, and driving while in possession of meth.
