Greene County is under a slightly increased risk for severe weather for Sunday and into Monday.
According to the National Weather Service out of Morristown, the main risks will be large hail and damaging winds, but moderate to heavy rain will also be a part of any storms moving through. There are two rounds expected, one this morning, with another this evening and overnight, between 8:00 pm and 2:00 am, that will bring our greatest risk for severe weather. The area of highest threat will be along and west of I-75.

There is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms expected this afternoon through late tonight. High near 83. Any stronger storms will be capable of producing straight-line winds in excess of 60 mph, and hail up to 1 inch in diameter. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding are also possible.
