Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison told Radio Greeneville News Thursday night he is hopeful a Certificate of Occupancy for the new county office building will be approved today.
At the party picnic, the mayor told us issuance of the certificate would allow for offices, most of them currently housed at the Annex, to begin an organized move to the former Takoma Hospital Building. Paving of the parking lot at the Greene County Administrative Center is expected next week.
COUNTY CLERK ANNOUNCES PLANS
Greene County Clerk Lori Bryant said Thursday that office is now scheduled to begin the moving process in stages to the new location after the paving is complete.
Plans are for the Greene County Clerk’s Office to be closed Thursday, October 16 through Saturday, October 18 so the computer and software vendor can move computers and office equipment to the new location.
The Department of Safety Driver’s License section of the Greene County Clerk’s Office state equipment will also be disconnected on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17 and transported to the new location.
On Saturday, October 18, the Greene County Clerk’s office staff will make final preparations to be ready to re-open for business to the public on Monday, October 20.
