It may not be a hurricane any longer, but the “eye” of Helene has moved from the panhandle of Florida to East Tennessee in less than 12 hours. Heavy rains are still associated with this system.
Some of the heaviest rains will be falling in western North Carolina which will cause significant flood events there, but will also impact the Nolichuckey River. Our area is expected to see more rainfall today, also.
