Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts was reported in Afton on the 4000 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway yesterday evening.
The Greene County Sheriff’s report states the Afton man was driving and parked his vehicle in the walking trail parking area. When he returned about an hour later, he started his vehicle and noticed it was unusually loud. He pulled over and checked under the vehicle and saw someone had cut and removed his catalytic converter from his Toyota.
No suspects were known at the time.
