The investigation continues today into a car which fled authorities at speeds reaching up to 133 miles per hours last night before crashing and catching fire.
The pursuit ended around 10:40 pm on East Andrew Johnson Highway near the Chuckey Highway intersection when the vehicle crashed into a guard rail and caught fire. Although an incident report has not yet been issued, radio traffic indicated at the time all occupants were out of the vehicle.
Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department responded, along with Tusculum Police, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, THP , EMS and the Rescue Squad. Malones Wreck towed the vehicle from the scene following the on site investigation.
