The list of candidates continues to grow as the deadline for the May election is just a week and a half away.
Two more candidates had their qualifying petitions approved by the Greene County Election Commission on Friday.
WATER COMMISSIONER
John Honeycutt is seeking another term on the Greeneville Water Commission Board.
He is the current board chair.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER
Dale “Bud” Tucker is seeking election to the Greene County Commission in the first district.
CANDIDATE DEADLINES
The qualifying deadline for candidates is Thursday, February 19th at Noon and applies to primary and independent candidates for the offices on the May primary ballot.
ELECTION COMMISSION OFFICE
The Election Commission Office at 311 CCU Boulevard is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. The office will be closed on Monday, February 16th for Presidents’ Day.
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The last day to register to vote in the May 5 County Primary Election is Monday, April 6.
