Matthew McKeever is a classic example of someone who came to this country, fell in love and is raising his family and growing his career here, and last but certainly not least, has earned citizenship to this country the way it was intended.
Matthew was one of the one hundred and twenty newest citizens of the United States who took their oath of citizenship during a Naturalization ceremony Tuesday at ETSU. The citizens represented more than 50 different nationalities.

At the ceremony a few spoke about their journey, including McKeever, who was born in Ireland and has spent the last 17 years of his life in Greeneville after arriving here to play soccer at Tusculum. He has worked with Farm Bureau for the past ten years.
