A Bulls Gap man has been indicted by a Greene County Grand Jury in connection with a fatal crash in 2024.
Grover Mullins of 138 Whitaker Road faces charges related to the death of two people on a motorcycle which was struck by a truck.
The accident occurred October 29, 2024 at the intersection of East Andrew Johnson Highway and Justis Drive.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, the Harley -Davidson was struck by the Chevrolet Silverado driven by Mullins. The report indicated Mullins ran the signal light causing the collision. 62 year old Janice Moore died at the scene of the 6 pm crash. The operator of the motorcycle, her husband 63 year old Rev. Walter D. Moore, Jr. was flown by Highlands Air Rescue to the Johnson City Medical Center. He died ten days later. At the time of the accident, authorities reported both victims were wearing helmets.
Mullins was indicted this week on charges of:
-Failure To Yield Right of Way Resulting In Death
-Failure To Exercise Due Care
-Inability To Control Vehicle Obedience to Required Traffic Device
