Mosheim Police have released a report on a Monday evening motor vehicle accident on West Andrew Johnson Highway at Bridge Burners Road.
Emergency personnel responded to the 10:40 pm call of a two vehicle crash between a Ford SUV and a Freightliner semi.
According to the report, the two vehicles were both eastbound. As the Ford, driven by 35 year old Matthew Raper attempted to pass the semi, he moved over to far and collided with the trailer at the T-bar. The SUV was then dragged a considerable distance before the semi could stop.
Raper, of Mt. Carmel Road in Bulls Gap, was flown by Highlands Air Rescue to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of leg and head injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, Victor Sosa-Castellanos of Morris, Illinois was not injured.
