Several appointments were made at the Greeneville City Council meeting on Tuesday.
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD
Brian Click was reappointed to another term on the Industrial Development Board.
Jeff Idell was elected to fill the other Town of Greeneville vacancy on the IDB. He was one of nine who had applied for the position. Idell was one of six who spoke briefly to the City Council prior to the vote. Two others were not in attendance while another had since withdrawn his application.

GREENEVILLE ENERGY AUTHORITY
Former Laughlin CEO Chuck Whitfield, with his term expiring on the IDB, was appointed to the GEA Board. With Tim Teague absent, Tim Ward with the motion and Ginny Kidwell with the second, voted in favor of the appointment. Matthew Hensley voted against it, voicing concerns over the procedure the GEA uses to make such selections. GEA President and CEO Dwayne Wells explained the method used by GEA to determine nominations follows their guidelines.
PARKS AND RECREATION
Dr. Jason Horne was approved as the City School representative on the Greeneville Parks and Recreation Board.
