Bobby R. Jones Jr., age 64, of the Sunnyside Community passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 yrs, Teresa Jones, his daughter and son-in-law Sylvia and Eric Lewis, grandchildren Addilyn Boesch and Natalia Lewis, brother Gary Jones, sister and brother-in-law Tina and Jim Galli, 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses Steve and Traci Ricker and Lynn and Angea Ricker, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Elizabeth Jones.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Gibbs officiating. The interment will follow at Mt Tabor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darwin Pruitt, Ricky Earley, Jeff Ward, Mike Cansler, Dean Lewis, Al Brown, Tim Jones, and Tony Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Shoppe and Bill Ward.
