Greeneville Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the Dollar General Store in Towne Square Shopping Center this morning.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The white male walked into the store shortly before 11:30 am wearing a white mask, brandishing a knife and demanding money from the clerk. The report indicates when she did not open the register quickly enough, he punched her in the face, knocking her to the floor.
The suspect then left the store without taking any money and fled the scene on foot.
He was described as having a medium built and of medium height. In addition to the mask, he was wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie.
