Aggravated Assault Charges resulted from a confrontation at a hotel on the Andrew Johnson Highway last night.
Around 11:00 PM Friday, police were dispatched to the Andrew Johnson Inn for a fight in progress involving a gun.
Officers spoke with the victim, who stated he was attempting to get the neighbors to be quiet, and two individuals became aggressive towards him. The males were later identified as Eric James Gwyn of the Andrew Johnson Highway and Derrick Gwyn of Unaka Street. The victim told police the men both presented pistols. Officers placed both males under arrest for aggravated assault. While performing a search, police found 8 grams of suspected marijuana and rolling papers.
