Police made a drug arrest Saturday afternoon on East Andrew Johnson Highway.
Officers spoke with the driver and a passenger of a silver Chevrolet truck near Walmart around 2:15 Saturday. Both gave the officer concent to search the truck. The female passenger, identified as Sharon Dale, took a change purse with her as she exited the vehicle. She allegedly replied “yes” to officers, when asked if there was anything in the purse. The change purse reportedly contained several syringes and a powdery residue. A search of Dale found two baggies containing a purple powdery substance believed to be Roxicodone.
Dale was placed under arrest for Simple Possession or Casual Exhange of Drugs, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Greene County Jail without incident.
