Just after 4:00 AM this morning, officers spotted a male lying on the sidewalk with one arm in the road near South Cutler Street.
The man was identified as Watson Hernandez of Arnold Road. When Hernandez was awakened by police, he lunged at an officer who pulled his taser. Hernandez ran across the road, but was caught and placed into wrist restraints.
Hernandez was reportedly unsteady on his feet and smelled strongly of alcohol. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center charged with public intoxication and Resisting Stop and Arrest.
