An Aggravated Assault charge resulted after a brief investigation Friday morning.
The victim contacted police to say they had been put in fear of their life after the suspect, Garret Nicholson, allegedly showed them a holstered handgun and then threated to shoot them.
According to the report, the victim and Nicholson were in his vehicle when he showed the weapon and allegedly stated: “I will shoot you with this.” Police reportedly saw text messages that substantiated the victim’s claims.
Nicholson was located in the 6000 block of Whitehouse Road. He told officers where to find the firearm the victim spoke of, a snub-nose .38 revolver. The gun was located and placed in evidence, and Nicholson was taken into custody, charged with Aggravated Assault.
